The ADR transition period has ended: since July 1st, companies involved in the transport of hazardous materials are required to comply with the latest version of the ADR, ‘ADR 2025’. This officially marks the end of the six-month transition period that came into effect earlier this year.
The ADR is the international agreement for the road transport of dangerous goods. These regulations are revised every two years. The 2025 edition also includes various changes that companies must adapt to. While some major changes have a longer implementation period, most rules have been binding since July.
Dutch translation available
For Dutch companies, it is good news that the official Dutch translation of ADR 2025 has now been published on the website of the Dutch government. The translations of ADN 2025 (for inland waterways) and RID 2025 (for rail transport) are also available. Together, these documents form the foundation for the safe and sustainable transport of hazardous materials.
